It's all part of a partnership that creates
employee training programs, high school internships, school-to-work programs and a
stronger, well-trained workforce. |
Another WORKFORCE TOOL:
The Livingston
Technical Academy, offering students entering the 11th grade a curriculum combining
traditional classroom subjects with job-readiness studies and structured work experiences.
Developed by area industry and educational specialists, the Academy is staffed by
state-certified teachers with manufacturing experience.

EDC also works in
partnership with the Livingston County Workforce Development Council to identify
manufacturers qualified for and needing Economic Development Job Training Program funding.
From 1996-2000, over 4,200 employees have received training with Economic Development
