Mission
Since 1983, the Economic Development Council of Livingston County has operated as a 501(3)c non-profit corporation. EDC believes a strong local business economy increases community wealth and promotes a high quality of life for Livingston County residents.
 
The EDC is not a part of any state or local governmental entity; instead, oversight comes from a private sector board of directors with representatives from:

Funding
Funding for the Economic Development Council comes from private business tax deductible contributions and service contracts with local school districts, local governments and the Livingston County Board of Commissioners.

Contributions range from $500 to $5,000.
